When we retired, our intention was to create blog posts on a regular basis to keep friends and family up to date on our adventures. The last post either of us made was in July, so you can see that we didn't do very well on the follow through. Given that, I thought my first post of 2015 should be a recap of the adventures we didn't tell you about in 2014.
July's big adventure was a tour around Vermont. The trip included stops at many different breweries (I think there were 16 of them). We also visited the Trapp Family Lodge (think Sound of Music), the Ben & Jerry's and Cabot Creamery factory tours, Moss Glen Falls, and the Vermont Country Store.

In early August, we took the camper and boats to Lake St George. Later in the month, Mom Daigle joined us for a trip to northern Maine/New Brunswick Canada and the Congres Mondial Acadien (World Acadian Congress).

In September, Brett did a week long, 90+ mile paddle trip on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway with a couple of high school friends. Later in the month, we took the truck camper to the Moosehead Lake area for some leaf peeping.

In November and December we stayed close to home. Our son Drew came for a visit in early November and friends from Virginia spent the week of Christmas with us.
We have a few adventures planned for 2015 - this week is a trip to visit family in New Hampshire. The first weekend in February we will be in Quebec City for the Winter Festival. We also plan a trip in late February or early March to Virginia. The biggest adventure will be coming in May when we set out for a multi-month trip through Canada and Alaska with our camper. Hopefully we will be better about keeping the blog updated and you will be able to follow along. Happy New Year!
