Mother Nature has been putting on quite a show for our first winter in Maine! We've had cold temperatures, lots of wind, and a large amount of snow. We love it! Of course, we don't have to get up every day and commute to work. Our commute usually consists of lacing on the snowshoes and trekking out to the barn to work on some project or other.

We did take a trip north to Quebec City for the Winter Carnival. Getting there was a little tricky as it was snowing here and the roads were messy, but once we got away from the coast, we were surprised to find that they have less snow than we do. It was our first visit to Quebec and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend a winter visit - it was beautiful, but cold (single digit highs most days). If you have enough layers and really warm boots, you'll do fine.

We'll be sticking close to home for the next couple of weeks and will then be heading down to Virginia for a week or so. Looking forward to seeing Drew and some of our friends while we are there.
