Home!

This will be the last post about our big trip!

After we left South Dakota, we drove through Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, crossed briefly back in to Canada (to avoid having to drive south around Lake Erie),  through New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and then in to Maine.  Along the way, we visited several breweries, including an American Homebrewers Association (AHA) rally at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth, Minnesota.

We came home a bit quicker than planned because Drew was visiting Maine with some of his friends and we wanted the chance to see him before he headed back south.  Since the house was full when we arrived, we continued staying in our camper for a few more days.

Our 'camping spot' next to the barn.

Here are a few facts from our trip
  • 112 days (May 11 - August 31)
  • 15183.8 miles.
  • 1272 gallons of diesel fuel
  • 272 unique beers
  • 8 Canadian Provinces and Territories (Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Yukon Territory, British Columbia)
  • 13 US States (Maine, Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire)
