British Columbia - July 20-30

After our visit to Skagway, we turned south and began the trip home.  We traveled down the Cassiar Highway in British Columbia with a short detour to the little town of Hyder, Alaska and its neighboring town of Stewart, British Columbia.  As we headed south, we crossed a wide variety of terrain. There were areas of green rolling hills;  very dry areas that looked like something you would see in an old western movie;  mountain ski resorts around Whistler; and coastal regions around Vancouver.   We also felt like we were crossing back into civilization. After traveling roads where we might see a handful of cars in several hours of driving, the traffic around Vancouver took some adjusting!
